Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 15, 2026

1. Information We Collect

When you use MotionGen, we collect information you provide directly, such as your email address when you sign up, and information generated as you use the platform.

  • Account information — email address and display name via Google or email sign-in
  • Usage data — prompts submitted, models selected, videos generated, and credit transactions
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, and device information for security and analytics
  • Payment data — handled entirely by Stripe; we do not store card numbers or bank details

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the MotionGen platform
  • Process credit purchases and maintain your balance
  • Send transactional emails (generation complete, low balance alerts)
  • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Your Generated Content

Videos you generate are stored securely and associated with your account. By default, your generations are private and visible only to you in your Library.

If you choose to publish a video to the public Gallery, it becomes visible to all users. You can remove it from the Gallery at any time from your Library.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Generated videos are stored for 3 days after creation, after which they are automatically deleted from our servers unless you have saved them locally.

You may delete your account at any time from the profile menu. Account deletion permanently removes your profile, credit balance, and all associated data.

5. Third-Party Services

We work with the following third-party providers:

  • Firebase (Google) — authentication and user management
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • ByteDance Seedance API — AI video generation
  • Vercel — hosting and edge infrastructure

Each provider processes data under their own privacy policy and data processing agreements.

6. Cookies

We use a single httpOnly session cookie (__session) to authenticate requests. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to certain processing activities

To exercise these rights, email us at [email protected].

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
